Starting my Diablo III journey

I barely have time to play games outside of work these days, but I still have to play this classic sequel, and there's Old Niu, Xiong, and my old comrades and everyone else from my student days who agreed to play this game together. I miss you all. My BN tag: mousebomb#3252, see you soon.

Fight — fight out a big watermelon; drag — drag out a big masterpiece

Ten years to sharpen a single sword — guarantee the quality, not the quantity. After watching Jiaokeli’s See Through, I fell unusually in love with it. (download page portal) One person spent three and a half years pouring himself into creating a personal short film, giving up a stable job and material comfort, all for a little over 16 minutes of animation. What conviction sustained him through it? How could it not be a masterpiece?

Echoes of War: Echoes of War

The game soundtrack Echoes of War: 战争的回响, produced entirely by Australia’s Eminence Symphony Orchestra, collects the full orchestral renditions of music from Blizzard’s blockbusters Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and Diablo III, and is now available for online order. The idea came from the World of Warcraft tracks previously sold on iTunes, which unexpectedly won the support and purchases of many players. Players said that music is an important form of leisure in many people’s lives, and that being able to buy it openly let them listen to World of Warcraft music on their commute to and from work — until they got home and couldn’t wait to turn on the computer, log into World of Warcraft, and set off on their own epic journey.

World of Warcraft Rebirth Log [Updated 7.30]

I’ve been playing WoW since the open beta, and after the 9C servers started having frequent, mysterious and unstoppable energy fluctuations that made the game really unpleasant to play, I gradually went AFK. After TBC launched, I went back in and played casually for quite a while, but in the end I left again. I once thought WoW could no longer tempt me, but now that I’ve lost WOW, I feel an unprecedented sense of powerlessness — like the Kaldorei Moon Guard losing the source of the Well of Eternity.

Goodbye, World of Warcraft

“It has been 4 years since The9 and Blizzard fought shoulder to shoulder, together resisting the invasion of countless online games. Though they succeeded in pocketing endless cash from players, the fragile agreement between The9 and Blizzard has long since vanished into nothing. Now, the war drums thunder once again…”
