Little Monkey tried with everything he had, losing again and again, and after 147 attempts finally beat Erlang, the Sacred Divinity on Qitian difficulty. Just recording it here for myself.

Overall, it’s a bit harder than The Great Sage’s Broken Shell on Qitian.

This game — taking it slow with Rechallenge on Qitian is pretty fun too. Play it like a fighting game: there’s mind games, and plenty of different builds to try out.

Steam’s auto-recording is really nice, it captured the good times.

The design of Erlang, the Sacred Divinity is genuinely great. The fight is like an exam — the teacher has taught you every move and you’ve done all the practice problems, and then in the final exam you need to focus and perform: you have to recall the solution to every question in an instant. Knowing it in your head isn’t enough, your hands have to know it too, otherwise you fail…

There’s also the practice video from when I really couldn’t beat him — that’s fun too. Recording it here.

To make it easier to study the moves, I broke down a video made by a Bilibili pro into a mind map and put it on GitHub:
