Trae finally has a paid version
Today I opened Trae and suddenly noticed “Upgrade to Pro” in the top right corner. Wow, it finally has a paid version!
Wow, the price is a steal!
$7.5/month — way cheaper than Cursor or GitHub Copilot!
Good thing I didn’t buy Cursor.
If $7.5 means no more queuing for Claude Sonnet 3.7, that’s incredible value!
The free version now gives you 10 fast requests and 50 slow requests per month.
I’ll use up my 10 Claude requests first and see how it goes.

Explanation:
- A fast request means under 15 seconds, but Beta models may still involve queuing. Claude Sonnet 3.7 is currently a stable release. With 600 requests, you could use it 20–30 times a day — not sure if that’s enough for heavy use. Previously, because of the queuing problem, I only used it 3–4 times a day.
- Slow requests: once you’ve used up your fast requests, you’re put into the queue.
Tomorrow I’ll try using it to write styles.
