Fellou — a browser that “gets work done”
Recently, the updated Trae added MCP support, opening up a whole new way to use it — for programmers, that’s basically another form of Manus. Right on its heels came another new toy that makes digital life better: Fellou, a browser that works for me, automatically doing deep research and boosting efficiency. Both are homegrown Chinese products.
Hands-on: generating the twelve two-hour periods meridian chart
As shown in the video. With a single sentence to Fellou, I generated a chart of the twelve two-hour periods of meridian flow from the Huangdi Neijing on traditional Chinese medicine wellness!
I just typed in a simple request — I didn’t even bother organizing or polishing the wording — and Fellou quickly pulled together the theory from the Huangdi Neijing and TCM wellness knowledge, automatically broke the task down, called the relevant data interfaces, and presented the meridian flow patterns, wellness tips, and suitable activities for each of the twelve periods as a visual chart.
For example:
- Zi hour (23:00–1:00): corresponds to the gallbladder meridian; the chart notes “best to sleep, avoid staying up late, nourish the qi of the liver and gallbladder”;
- Chen hour (7:00–9:00): corresponds to the stomach meridian, labeled “best to eat breakfast, avoid an empty stomach, gently nourish the spleen and stomach”;
- You hour (17:00–19:00): corresponds to the kidney meridian, suggesting “best to rest, avoid overwork, consolidate the kidney and boost essence.”
The chart also marks the correspondence between each period and the internal organs, the meridian pathways, and simple wellness exercises (such as diagrams for acupressure points) — intuitive, easy to understand, and faithful to traditional wellness concepts. Introducing Fellou
We office workers spin around in front of our computers like tops every day — opening dozens of tabs to look things up, filling out endless forms, switching back and forth between tabs, and just when you finally get a sip of water, you’re back to repeating those tedious clicks. 2. Four “superpowers” that make it an instant efficiency king
Fellou is this capable thanks to four core skills:
1. Deep Action: from “moving your eyes” to “moving your hands”
With a traditional browser, your eyes get tired and your hands still have to keep busy. With Deep Action, you just state your need, and it breaks down the task and operates across websites for you. For example, researching “low-code platform trends,” it can sweep the whole web in one go, single out the top 10 companies, analyze product differences and business models, and produce a report clearer than anything you’d put together by hand. The real-world numbers are even more striking: on the same 49 tasks, Fellou finished in an average of 3.7 minutes — several times faster than other tools!
2. Proactive intelligence: it knows you better than you do
Ordinary AI is all “you ask, it answers,” but Fellou can “watch what you do and guess what you’re thinking.” It quietly remembers the sites you visit often and the tasks you repeat. For example, if you open your calendar every morning to schedule meetings, then one day when it sees you doing nothing, it might pop up and ask: “Want me to create today’s meeting schedule for you?” This kind of “predictive service” is like having a thoughtful little assistant by your side.
3. Hybrid shadow space: you and the AI each do your own thing without interfering
Worried the AI will hog your computer while it works so you can’t use it? Fellou came up with a shadow space:
- Simple tasks (like creating a calendar entry) are handled quickly right on your local machine, without getting in your way;
- Complex tasks (like organizing a week’s worth of email) are tossed into a virtual environment to run, so you can keep using your computer as usual, and even check progress or call a halt and adjust at any time;
- Tasks that don’t depend on your local machine (like browsing GitHub to find a code bug) are thrown into the cloud — you can shut down your computer and head out, and still check the results on your phone.
4. Agent network: anyone can build an “AI helper”
In Fellou’s world, you’re not just a user — you can also be an “AI designer.” For example, if you’re an HR person who searches for engineers on LinkedIn every day, you can turn your own search logic into an Agent — handy for yourself, shareable with colleagues, or published to the platform for others to call directly. Developers can do even more: using the official Eko framework, they can write workflows in natural language and even add “switches” to the AI (the Hook mechanism) to intervene and adjust the task flow at any time.
3. Compared with other AI browsers, where does it really shine?
- It can log into private sites: something like Perplexity can only search public content — it can’t get into your company’s internal systems or private forums at all. Fellou can securely log into these private pages and dig up information others can’t find.
- It remembers your “workspace”: the tabs you have open, the form you’ve half-filled in — it can remember all of that as “context.” For example, if you’re looking at a product page and ask it to compare prices, it will search based on that product directly, without you having to type the keywords again.
- It works fast and cheap: the in-house Eko framework makes task execution fast and inexpensive — a single task costs as little as 0.3 yuan and at most about 3 yuan, and users don’t currently have to bear these costs. Students and office workers alike can use it without worry.

Fellou has now opened its Mac beta (head to fellou.ai/download to get it), and Windows and mobile versions will launch in the second half of the year.
