Sarah Brightman has a new album out — A Winter Symphony!

In November, Sarah releases her second album of the year, A Winter Symphony, pouring her formidable vocal technique and originality into these well-loved classics: 〈Silent Night〉, 〈Happy Christmas (War Is Over)〉 written by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and Neil Diamond’s classic 〈I`ve Been This Way Before〉 and 〈In The Bleak Midwinter〉; plus ABBA’s rare instrumental 〈Arrival〉, for which Sarah had lyrics specially written, making it a song for the first time. The album also features two duets: one is 〈Ave Maria〉 with tenor Fernando Lima, the other is 〈Carpe Diem〉 with Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis. On top of that, Sarah also teams up with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Symphony Orchestra, plus a 46-voice choir, for a lavish display of her soprano artistry.

Along with the release of A Winter Symphony, Sarah is also hitting the road for a world tour — her first in four years — kicking off in Monterrey, Mexico. She’ll also play 18 shows in the US, ten in Canada and four in Mexico. These concerts carry on the grand, spectacular stage-production style of her past shows, and audiences everywhere will see brand-new, breathtaking technology along with all kinds of virtual and 360-degree stage design, giving the fans who come out a spectacle unlike anything before. The new technology used in the stage setup for this tour is extremely intricate and packed with special effects, creating a fairyland, heaven-like feeling: you see an ornate ballroom blended with a fairy-tale garden on stage, and a giant aquarium appearing right there on stage — and alongside Sarah’s beautiful singing, it satisfies the audience’s visual appetite too.

In the first week after A Winter Symphony‘s release, besides immediately setting off on her world tour, Sarah will also make her big-screen debut, starring in the rock-opera film “Repo! The Genetic Opera,” alongside Paris Hilton, Paul Sorvino and others. It’s a horror musical, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman — the director of the hit thriller Saw I through III.

Sarah Brightman, always one of the most creative and pioneering artists of our time, has effortlessly bridged the gap between rock, pop, Broadway and opera, captivating audiences around the world with both sound and vision, and bringing every fan under the spell of her voice and stage charisma.
